Phoenicia InterContinental Beirut
The Uniform Project
Phoenicia is a very grand old hotel overlooking the Mediterranean, and the uniforms were to reflect the feel and style of its location and interiors using the Phoenicia's purple colour theme. The uniforms were to serve a variety of large Food and Beverage areas, reflecting the style of the outlets.
The Approach
Fashionizer always aims to create iconic uniforms of the highest quality for all staff. For this project, this top uniform company created a mix of traditional and modern silhouettes. The styles and fabrics used will ensure garments are fit for purpose, comfortable to wear and enhance the environment in which they are worn..
The Final Look
Fashionizer developed and incorporated key brand concepts developed for the hotel which were classic grey, rich plum and hot purple. The managers' uniforms to be worn in various departments were a two piece trouser suit with shirt and tie for male staff, and blouses for female staff. These were produced in classic grey wool worn with hot purple highlights. The Hostesses were dressed in an elegantly draped, black wrap-over dress with a tulip hem. This was worn classically on its own, or matched with a hot purple bolero style cropped jacket. The Cascades Lobby Lounge staff were given Spencer style textured, grey wool jackets worn with straight legged black trousers. Nehru jackets were designed for the banqueting staff in rich plum, and also in plain black with hot purple highlights for the room service staff uniforms. Finally the male staff uniforms to be worn in the Eau De Vie Lounge, Bar & Restaurant were rich plum, single breasted two button jackets with a black trim collar and pocket piping worn with a black shirt, trousers and a plum tie.
Debbie Leon, Fashionizer's MD added, 'Together, the Phoenicia InterContinental's uniforms present a classically tailored, yet glamorous look which we're really pleased with. It was a treat to be asked to work on this very grand old lady of a hotel and we're looking forward to delivering the uniforms for the remaining F&B areas - the Caffe Mondo and the Wok Wok restaurant as well as banqueting uniforms, in due course.'
